About the Platform

The platform "Documenting the Targeting and Destruction of the Health Sector in the Gaza Strip" presents accurate and detailed information about the Israeli assault on health during the genocidal war. This includes data on the attacks on healthcare facilities and health workers who have been killed, abducted, tortured, and maimed by Israeli forces during the genocide, and relevant statements by international organizations and healthcare institutions. These are complemented by original analysis by researchers and authors covering a range of issues in the targeting of the health sector, through which Israeli occupation forces have created a "war biosphere". Read more

Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Shami

Pharmacy Doctor Mohammed al-Shami and Dr. Sameer al-Sheikh, who co-founded the "International Pharmacies" in the Gaza Strip, were martyred during the genocide as a result of strikes on each of their homes. The respective strikes killed them and several members of their families.

Rawand Khaled Jadallah Al-Banna

Dr. Haneen Al-Basyouni, a pharmacist, was martyred along with her husband, Dr. Noor Abayan, who was also a pharmacist, while she was eight months pregnant. They were killed as a result of the targeting of their home, leading to their deaths along with several family members.

Doctor, injured, prisoner, martyr: Adnan Ahmad Atieh al-Bursh

Al-Bursh was martyred in Ofer Prison on April 19, 2024 after being subjected to severe torture, killing him. His body is still being held.
