Testimony from Dr. Ahmed Mufeed El-Mokhallalati: "Yesterday, we bid farwell to Dr. Midhat Saydam, the plastic surgeon in the department, as a result of an Israeli airstrike on his house, killing him and his family members. He was a prominent plastic surgeon in the Strip. He was a big brother, a compassionate human, and a brilliant doctor. He dedicated his life to the service and care of patients and the training of a new generation of youth. I used to call him the Mukhtar [Chief] of the unit – I cannot imagine the spirit of the place after his passing. I cannot imagine our morning meetings without his excited entrance and his positive energy. May god have mercy on him and his entire family. God chose him to be by his side."
