The Sheikh Hamad Prosthetics Hospital is the only hospital specializing in prosthetics and rehabilitation in the Gaza Strip. It was established in 2016 following directives from Qatari prince Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani to the Qatar Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza and the Qatar Fund for Development. The hospital became operational in 2019 and was considered a significant addition to the health sector in Gaza, providing quality services that did not exist before[1].
The hospital, which has a clinical capacity of 100 beds, consists of five floors of 2,700 square meters each built on an area of 12,000 square meters[2]. In addition, it has a service building with an area of 350 square meters, an outdoor garden with an area of 6,665 square meters[3].
