The platform "Documenting the Targeting and Destruction of the Health Sector in the Gaza Strip" presents accurate and detailed information about the Israeli assault on health during the genocidal war. This includes data on the attacks on healthcare facilities and health workers who have been killed, abducted, tortured, and maimed by Israeli forces during the genocide, and relevant statements by international organizations and healthcare institutions. These are complemented by original analysis by researchers and authors covering a range of issues in the targeting of the health sector, through which Israeli occupation forces have created a "war biosphere". Hayat Hospital goes out of service
The Ministry of Health reported that Al Hayat Specialized Hospital was out of service.
Resumption of work at Kamal Adwan Hospital
UN OCHA announced that the hospital partially resumed its services in the middle of January 2024, despite persistent challenges, including shortage of personnel, including specialized surgeons, neurosurgeons, and intensive care workers, as well as shortage in medical supplies.
Invasion of Kamal Adwan Hospital
Occupation forces stormed the hospital, arresting its director, Dr. Ahmad al-Kahlout, and all medical staff. Everyone was interrogated and some tortured inside the emergency department and al-Kahlout and more than 70 medical staff were abducted to an unknown destination. The occupation forces shoot at some of those released, injuring five people. 65 wounded and 12 sick children in pediatric care remained at the hospital without electricity, water, or food.
Siege of Kamal Adwan Hospital
Occupation forces surrounded the hospital, and snipers climbed the buildings surrounding the hospital, firing heavily in the direction of the courtyards and patients' rooms. The Ministry of Health stated that medical staff and the wounded were without water, food or treatment.
On December 16, 2023: Occupation forces withdrew from the hospital after four days of siege.
Kamal Adwan Hospital goes out of service
Occupation tanks shelled the hospital, rendering it out of service.

Occupation forces bombed the gate of the hospital, martyring at least four people and injuring at least nine. Medical sources also reported that more than 35 bodies in and outside of the hospital, could not be buried due to the intensity of the Israeli airstrikes.

Occupation forces reportedly killed 3 children, including a newborn in an incubator in Kamal Adwan Hospital, due to power cuts. Occupation forces also bombed the vicinity of the hospital, martyring 60 people and injuring 1,000.

Occupation forces stormed Al-Khair Hospital and detained the medical staff inside after isolating and surrounding the hospital, cutting off the road to the Nasser Medical Complex and Al-Amal Hospital.
