Description (About the Facility)

The international eye center was established in 2008 in Gaza City in Tel al-Hawa neighborhood. In 2016, the center established a social responsibility department, which investigates the social and financial conditions of patients to reduce the treatment cost burden or waiving it completely[1]. The center moved to its current location and developed into a hospital in 2020.

On October 9, 2023: Occupation forces bombed the International Eye Hospital, destroying the hospital building completely[2][3].

On May 2, 2024: The administration of the International Eye Hospital announced that, following its destruction, the Center had re-opened in Jabaliya Camp in the northern Gaza Strip[4].
