Testimony from Dr. Ahmed Mufeed El-Mokhallalati: "Yesterday, we bid farwell to Dr. Midhat Saydam, the plastic surgeon in the department, as a result of an Israeli airstrike on his house, killing him and his family members. He was a prominent plastic surgeon in the Strip. He was a big brother, a compassionate human, and a brilliant doctor. He dedicated his life to the service and care of patients and the training of a new generation of youth. I used to call him the Mukhtar [Chief] of the unit – I cannot imagine the spirit of the place after his passing.

Omar Farwanah worked as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University in Gaza and helped establish the "Public Service" and "Friends of the Patient" hospitals in Gaza, after gaining his bachelor's degree in medicine from Cairo University and PhD from Leeds University, a prominent university in the United Kingdom. He trained at the University of West Australia and gained 30 years of experience in fertility medicine and IVF.

Dr. Hassan Hamdan was one of the few reconstructive surgery specialists in the Gaza Strip, as he had worked as a doctor and head of the plastic surgery and burns department at the Nasser Medical Complex in the south of the Gaza Strip until his retirement shortly before the start of the genocide.
