He remained in the northern Gaza Strip until his martyrdom. He used to share some of his daily life on social media. He was known as the doctor who cut an umbilical cord with a knife and tied it with a wooden clothespin when a woman gave birth in their displacement site.

Mohammed was one of the diligent students at the Faculty of Medicine, Al-Azhar University. He volunteered to teach first aid basics to the Gaza community through regular awareness campaigns organized by the college.

Almost a week after the martyrdom of his father, Osama was martyred as a result of an airstrike targeting where he had been displaced, killing him and all who remained from his family, except is brother Mohammed who had travelled to complete his studies abroad. Osama was known among his fifth-year colleagues for his hard work and academic excellence. He had passed the first part of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exams and was working to write a guide detailing his experience to help his colleagues through this exam.
