افتتاح القسم الأول من نوعه لمرضى سرطان الأطفال
في سنة 2019، أعلنت جمعية إغاثة أطفال فلسطين افتتاح القسم الأول من نوعه لمرضى سرطان الأطفال في قطاع غزة داخل مستشفى الرنتيسي التخصصي [14]. وكانت جمعية إغاثة أطفال فلسطين قد بدأت، منذ مطلع سنة 2016، إنشاء القسم بهدف التخفيف من التحويلات الطبية بنسبة 20%. ويضم القسم 14سريراً في العيادات الخارجية للمستشفى، بالإضافة إلى 16 غرفة مجهزة [15]

في سنة 2009، تم افتتاح قسم مناظير الجهاز الهضمي، ومنظار الجهاز التنفسي سنة 2010 [13].
نقل قسم الدم والأورام من مستشفى النصر إلى مستشفى الرنتيسي
في سنة 2008، تم نقل قسم الدم والأورام من مستشفى النصر إلى مستشفى الرنتيسي، بالإضافة إلى تزويد قسم الأعصاب بجهازَي تخطيط الدماغ الكهربائي وتخطيط كهربية العضل، وقسم القلب بجهاز تصوير القلب الصدوي. كما تم تشغيل قسم الأشعة المقطعية في العام نفسه. وتم افتتاح أقسام العناية المركزة والاستقبال، وتشغيل قسم العلاج الطبيعي للأطفال [12].
