About the Platform
The platform "Documenting the Targeting and Destruction of the Health Sector in the Gaza Strip" presents accurate and detailed information about the Israeli assault on health during the genocidal war. This includes data on the attacks on healthcare facilities and health workers who have been killed, abducted, tortured, and maimed by Israeli forces during the genocide, and relevant statements by international organizations and healthcare institutions. These are complemented by original analysis by researchers and authors covering a range of issues in the targeting of the health sector, through which Israeli occupation forces have created a "war biosphere". Since the war began, people in Gaza have undergone systematic dehumanization.
Palestinians do matter, including those in Gaza.
Their rights, lives, and futures matter.
Human rights cannot be applied selectively.
As the UN Secretary-General said: “Peace requires ending the occupation, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian State, with Gaza as an integral part; a viable and sovereign Palestinian State side-by-side with Israel”.
The West Bank is undergoing an alarming spill over of the Gaza war.
More than 50 people, including children, have been reported killed since the Israeli Forces’ operation started 5 weeks ago.
Destruction of public infrastructure, bulldozing roads and access restrictions are common place.
People’s lives have been turned upside down, bringing back traumas and loss.
The decision of Israel to stop aid into Gaza threatens the lives of civilians exhausted by 16 months of brutal war.
Humanitarian aid must continue to flow at scale similar to what we’ve seen over the past six weeks when the ceasefire began. This brought respite and relief to people in need.
The vast majority of the people in Gaza rely on aid for their sheer survival.
Lifesaving water, hospitals, health centres and electricity are essential to complement basic food assistance.
Aid and these basic services are nonnegotiable.
Gaza: Awful scenes of civilians killed among them children following waves of heavy bombardment from Israeli Forces overnight.
Fueling “hell on earth” by resuming the war will only bring more despair and suffering.
A return to the ceasefire is a must.
GAZA CITY,
The Israeli military is denying international health care and humanitarian workers entry into Gaza at unprecedented rates, according to multiple doctors and aid workers who spoke to Drop Site News. Since early February, shortly after the Gaza “ceasefire” went into effect, as many as half of doctors with preliminary approval through the World Health Organization to enter Gaza found out the night before their scheduled entry that they were rejected.
