About the Platform

The platform "Documenting the Targeting and Destruction of the Health Sector in the Gaza Strip" presents accurate and detailed information about the Israeli assault on health during the genocidal war. This includes data on the attacks on healthcare facilities and health workers who have been killed, abducted, tortured, and maimed by Israeli forces during the genocide, and relevant statements by international organizations and healthcare institutions. These are complemented by original analysis by researchers and authors covering a range of issues in the targeting of the health sector, through which Israeli occupation forces have created a "war biosphere". Read more

Dr. Samira al-Ghafari was martyred alongside her husband Dr. Hani al-Haytham and their children Shereen, Tia, Sameer, Wafaa, and Sarah, as a result of an airstrike on a residential building.

Bombing of his home

Dr. Ramez al-Najjar and several members of his family were martyred as occupation vehicles invaded the Rmeida neighborhood in Bani Suheila to the east of Khan Yunis.

We are at a decisive moment for the Palestinian and Israeli people and for the fate of the entire region. 

An agreement between the Government of Israel and the leadership of Hamas is essential to stop the unbearable suffering of Palestinians in Gaza and of the hostages and their families. 

It would be tragic if weeks of intense diplomatic activity for peace in Gaza, yield no ceasefire.  No release of hostages.  And a devastating offensive in Rafah.

Doctor, injured, prisoner, martyr: Adnan Ahmad Atieh al-Bursh

Al-Bursh was martyred in Ofer Prison on April 19, 2024 after being subjected to severe torture, killing him. His body is still being held.
