Dr. Fadel Naim mourned him by writing "Dr. Hammam al-Deeb, who had a smile that southed the heart, never hestitated to help anyone who asked, appreciated his colleagues and teachers, stood tall like the mountains, stood up for justice and did not hestitate to offer all he had in defense of it."
