The platform "Documenting the Targeting and Destruction of the Health Sector in the Gaza Strip" presents accurate and detailed information about the Israeli assault on health during the genocidal war. This includes data on the attacks on healthcare facilities and health workers who have been killed, abducted, tortured, and maimed by Israeli forces during the genocide, and relevant statements by international organizations and healthcare institutions. Occupation forces bomb the hospital after it absorbed and replaced the maternity department from Al-Shifa Hospital.

Occupation forces burned down the hospital.

Hospital resumes partial operations

The hospital resumed operations and resumed providing services in the following specialties: Pediatric Day Care, General Reception (Internal Medicine and Surgery), Maternity Care and Pregnancy Follow-up, Laboratory Services, and Panoramic Imaging.


 

Reopening of Friends of the Patient Hospital after repairs

Dr. Muneer Al-Bursh, Director of the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, announces that occupation tanks have stationed in front of Friends of the Patient Hospital. Additionally, a report from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs confirms the evacuation of Friends of the Patient Hospital.

And on July 12, 2024, Occupation forces bombed and shelled the hospital, taking it out of service. The hospital had been restored and resumed its services before the recent Israeli operation in the western area of Gaza City.

Strikes on the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital facilities

On October 29, 2023 the Occupation forces bombed and severely damaged the hospital in shelling of its vicinity[5].

On October 30, 2023 the hospital's management appealed to the Turkish government to intervene to protect the hospital and its medical staff. Occupation forces targeted the hospital for the second time, causing severe damage to the hospital and disrupting some of its electromechanical systems.

The death of four cancer patients.

The Ministry of Health announced the death of four cancer patients as a result of the hospital being out of service due to targeting and running out of fuel.

Depletion of all cancer medications

The hospital stated that there were no medicines for cancer patients, that more than 2,200 requests for transfers abroad had been submitted, and the hospital administration re-launched an appeal to facilitate travel for the treatment of more than 2,600 cases in need of immediate treatment.

Occupation forces bombed the vicinity of the Jaffa Medical Hospital, including directly targeting the Jaffa Mosque located next to it, putting the hospital out of service. The operating, emergency, and surgical departments were severely affected by the attack. At the time, the hospital was one of 12 hospitals in the southern Gazan Strip that continue to function partially.
