While he was working in the Indonesian Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip in November 2023, a video circulated documenting the moment he was injured and became soaked in blood while conducting a surgical operation in an Israeli airstrike targeting the hospital. He was operated on in the darkness due to a power outage, before Israeli forces raided the hospital and forced those in it to evacuate.
Dr. Doaa Shamout was injured in an airstrike on her home alongside her daughter Zeina, mother, sister, aunts and uncle on 24 December 2023. She was treated in intensive care until her martyrdom on 31 December.
Dr. Mohammed Hammoudeh was martyred in an airstrike on the family home and the Hammoudeh medical center where the Hammoudeh family was staying in Beit Lahia, resulting in the martyrdom of 12 members of the family, including his father Dr. Ahmad Hammoudeh.
Dr. Khamees al-Najjar, member of the legislative council, was martyred alongside his wife, two of his children, and several of his grandchildren as a result of an occupation airstrike on his home in Khan Yunis.
Dr. Abdelrahman al-Ghareez was martyred alongside his wife and two children in a strike on their home in Nuseirat camp.
He was killed alongside his son as a result of a strike on their vehicle as they drove home.
Dr. Ahmad Jarbou' was martyred as he made his way home. He remained missing for several days until his scattered remains were found. His father was injured in the strike, while his uncle Ali and cousin Hasan were also martyred.
He was martyred alongside his wife and one of his daughters in a strike on their home, while his other daughter survived.
