Motaz was a member of the Palestinian Medical Forum, the medical students' union at the university, in which he volunteered in the media committee.

Abdullah achieved the second place in Palestine in the 2023 General Secondary Education exams for the scientific stream with a score of 99.6, earning him a place in the Faculty of Medicine before the onset of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

Almost a week after the martyrdom of his father, Osama was martyred as a result of an airstrike targeting where he had been displaced, killing him and all who remained from his family, except is brother Mohammed who had travelled to complete his studies abroad. Osama was known among his fifth-year colleagues for his hard work and academic excellence. He had passed the first part of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exams and was working to write a guide detailing his experience to help his colleagues through this exam.
