About the Platform

The platform "Documenting the Targeting and Destruction of the Health Sector in the Gaza Strip" presents accurate and detailed information about the Israeli assault on health during the genocidal war. This includes data on the attacks on healthcare facilities and health workers who have been killed, abducted, tortured, and maimed by Israeli forces during the genocide, and relevant statements by international organizations and healthcare institutions. These are complemented by original analysis by researchers and authors covering a range of issues in the targeting of the health sector, through which Israeli occupation forces have created a "war biosphere". Read more

Barakat's martyrdom

Nihad Barakat was martyred along with his wife, his brother’s wife, and their children in a targeting of the Hamad Residential City in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

Hamdan's martyrdom

She was martyred along with her husband, Firas Al-Sheikh, her infant son, her mother and her sister in the Jabalia camp massacre, north of the Gaza Strip.

al-Nuweri's martyrdom

Hind Al-Nuwairi was martyred alongside her father, her brother, her two-day-old daughter, her uncle, his three daughters, and a number of her family members as a result of the targeting of her uncle’s house in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.

al-Fir's martyrdom

Her home in the city of Rafah was targeted, leading to the martyrdom of her husband, Alaa Al-Subaihi, their children, and a number of their family members. She joined them shortly after, succumbing to her injury.

Doctor, injured, prisoner, martyr: Adnan Ahmad Atieh al-Bursh

Al-Bursh was martyred in Ofer Prison on April 19, 2024 after being subjected to severe torture, killing him. His body is still being held.
